This very special little lady has left me after almost three months for her new life.  She has gone to a fabulous home where she has another Spitz to play with, the very beautiful 'Spritz'.  It took quite a lot to get her to where she is today but it was worth every minute of it to see her go on to such a great new life.

Hollys Story:
Little Holly arrived here on Christmas eve.  She was in a bad state, nails so long she couldn't walk, patches of hair missing.  She was completely yellow from lack of nutrition and care. She had broken teeth and problems with her throat.  She couldn't seem to bark and her breathing was very raspy.
After much investigation it was discovered that not only had Holly suffered a trauma to her throat, she had also been debarked, something that has been illegal in Ireland for over ten years.  The surgery had caused huge amounts of scar tissue to form in her throat which was causing her great difficulty when it came to eating and breathing.  She had to go to UCD and undergo surgery on her throat which was very costly but I believed she deserved every chance at a good life.  The surgery was carried out and she is now able to eat and breathe without difficulty, although she will never bark.
A huge fund raising appeal had to be launched to help pay for her surgery and care.  Thanks to so many generous people, the money was raised.  A special thanks to everyone involved in Tails N Trails for all of their help, support and donations, thanks also to Marie Hannen and Liz McDonagh from Dogs in Distress for their donations and invaluable support and advice, without which I would have been lost, to all at MIDS for their financial help and to all of the people who made individual donations, each and every one was very much appreciated and has gone towards paying for this little ladies care.  The most special thanks goes to Corin Dunphy, the boy with the heart of gold, who handed over part of his confirmation money to help Holly.
